Fanboys Completes Its Journey to the Dark Side

Fanboys director Kyle Newman has had a more twisted and bumpy journey to get his work into theaters than the main characters’ cross country trek in the movie itself. This film that has been knocking around in different rough forms for the last two years finally got a release a few weeks back. It’s probably destined for a more cult life on DVD, though. It’s a shame, because it’s an entertaining love letter the geekdom in all forms. It’s reward for all the false starts and haphazard release date promises has been to sneak on to a handful of theater screens with almost no advertising or promotion.

Review: Star Wars the Force Unleashed

Duh duh… du du du daaaa duhhhh du du du daaaa duhhhhh du du du daaaa. Ahem, sorry about that. It was just my excitement for all things Star Wars trying to build up this game at least a little bit. The Force Unleashed (360) can now be picked up for about $30 used which wouldn’t be a bad buy if it wasn’t so damn mind numbing. Oh, snap, maybe I just blew the rest of the review! Well, I think not since this game actually starts off well then collapses nearly as much as the Clone Wars movie.

I will open this up by saying I have not yet finished this game. I don’t have 8+ hours a day to play games, though I’ll take the job if anyone is hiring, so there will be times that a game just isn’t worth it. There is not a plan to make this a habit and I will, rightfully, update the review if I finish the game and have a sudden change of heart but I am about 2/3 of the way done and can’t really take much more.

1. Star Wars Prequel Trilogy and Star Wars Trilogy - $35/piece

For the uber geek throw in the book set too at another $30

Losing on Idiocy - Cowboys 13 - Steelers 20

Cold, hot, wet, dry, and yet all the same in this matchup. When the Cowboys and the Steelers face off it is always a battle no matter the conditions.  This past Sunday was no different with both teams laying hits all over the field, fights and scuffles were plentiful, and the scoring was minimal.  It is too bad that the team that lost was merely the team that did more stupid things.  The Cowboys need to raise their on field IQ by a lot if they want to make the playoffs.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Did We Need This, George?

Wondering what new toys are slated for the Lucasfilm product-line later this year? Why not pay $9.50 for a prolonged commercial for them?
